Guest guest
, What kind of doctor did you see and what tests did they perform to diagnose this(trigimenial nerve pain)? I have had repeated pain and swelling in my neck area and some difficult swallowing episodes. It's almost like the food gets stuck in my throat and my throat closes up....it's painful, too. But the swelling and pain in the neck has gotten me very depressed cuz my gp isn't doing much about it...just giving me antibiotics which are wrecking havoc on my digestive system. Glad to hear you like your new apartment and that it's easier for you. hugs S. 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself" ( 16:24 NIV).Subject: To: Neurosarcoidosis Date: Tuesday, September 9, 2008, 3:00 AM Hey all, I'm the missing in action moderator.. I'm still around.. I was having problems with this horrid pain in my R ear, throat, neck.. I just recently found out it was a nerve on the side of my face called Trigimenial nerve pain.. so I ended on two rounds of prednisone.. as much as I HATE pred.. it was much needed.. the pain is gone...my ear has stopped hurting, I'm no longer so dizzy I can't sit up, I had lost the ability to whistle for my dog, and sadly lost my singing voice.. which to me was very important.. it hurt really bad to sing.. all of that went away.. I still have trouble swallowing.. but heck it hasn't stopped me from eating.. I just make sure that I have water or decaff tea very close by... I've also moved to a nice little apartment, as Damian has left for college there was certain things I couldn't do without him, such as mow the grass.. the house was big and drafty, and the electric and natural gas bill was way out of my reach.. So I chose to move before he left for college so I could be comfortable and hopefully be able to break even.. He has been gone for almost 2 months at the Universityof Tennessee at Chattanooga. . He came home a couple of weeks ago and as happy as I was to see him, I was also ready for him to go..but don't tell him.. I had the apartment just like I wanted and he was messy.. lol I hope that you are all doing as well as possible, hello and welcome to the newcommers.. I pray that you are all getting the treatment you deserve.. if you don't then don't wait around like I did.. thinking they will do better.. the fact is.. they won't.. I love my new set of doctors, they all been attentive and caring.. and soooo sooo helpful.. Love and gentle hugs to you all, Co-Moderator
