Guest guest
I had my first surgery on Dec 22. I had my lower jaw moved fowared and upper jaw surgery. Now I cannot bite together (they say I am too " open " ) so I have to have upper jaw surgery again. I just went to my OS yesterday and they scheduled my surgery for next Thursday. My problem is I only have so much sick leave. The OS said it shouldn't take as long to recover, but I am wondering if any of you have had this again and agree that it is not as long. I am thinking that b/c it is only upper this time it shouldn't be as long, but I am still worried. Also, they said that it would be covered by insurance under my first procedure--so I don't need to get pre-authorized again. Anyone have any problems with this. And since you are all so nice and let people feel sorry for themselves a little on here I thought I would whine to you all instead of my family. My first surgery was 3 days before Christmas and my second is now going to be 5 days before my 25th birthday (and I had actually got to where I could probably eat cake ). So if anyone has any liquid cake recipes I would appreciate it Thanks for answering any of my questions that you can. I appreciate it. Guest guest
I'm sorry that I can't help with the surgery question...I haven't had mine yet. But for the birthday cake, I agree with the last person. Cake mixed up with ice cream is actually really good. A few years back, Sonic (the drive-in restaurant) had its birthday celebration and that was their milkshake of the month...Birthday Cake Shake. It was soooo good that I'm sure I gained 5 pounds that month. Give it a try, you may love it and never go back to normal cake again, hehe. Good luck with your second surgery!
