I just found out . My upper jaw didn't heal becauses the artifical

graph didn't work! I had Maxillomandibular advancement in

March 2002. My doctor want to get a new graph from my thigh!

There is no promises that is will work! I am trying to get a second

opinion before jumping into surgery! My doctor said I was

the second woman patient to have a second graph.this dosn't

happen to often.

If you can help with some advise. Please post!

To the person whose bone graft was unsuccessful. Are you taking any

medications? There are some meds that cause problems with healing. One is

Fosamax used for osteoporosis and osteopinea.

I'm just guessing that this actually is about a graft, rather than a

graph (just in case you're doing internet searches). And I believe

I'd be trying to find out why your surgeon (and anybody else he or

your other docs can suggest, like your general physician) think the

graft didn't work. Maybe a consult with an orthopedist, too... But

on the consoling side, I would think, from my wee pea-grain lay

info, that a natural graft from your hip or thigh would work more

easily with your bones than anything artificial. Just a guess...

Sorry that I don't know anything about this problem.
