Guest guest
Assymetry is generally measured in mm rather than cm so the beginning plagio was actually 17mm. The Cephalic index was about 83 percent, which is not a concern. The plagio has improved to 10 mm and the Cephalic index is slightly worse at 86.6 percent, but I'm not sure that this is anything to worry about. This is calculated by dividing the width by the length. You don't want the head any wider than this and maybe it will go back down with more time in the helmet. I'm not sure why it would have gone up, but I'm not very familiar with your brand of helmet or with helmets for plagio. We are dealing with brachy. Ask if you are worried or maybe someone else can address this. , mom to , 19.5 months 20.5 weeks in STARband plus CST land Re: 4-weeks report posted -- What do you think? I'm a little confused, was the beginning asymmetry (A- only 1.7 mm? Is his main issue brachy? If so, I'm not sure how to work out the cephalic index from the numbers provided, maybe someone else can help there. But the asymmetry at least seems minimal, and yet there was improvement (to 1.0 mm). Jake-2.5 (DOCBand Grad 9/08)Jordan-5>> Today we had our 4-weeks follow up appointment, although technically we have been in the helmet full time 3.5 weeks. I posted a table with measurement numbers in "our plagio babies A" (or see new photos). and wonder what do you think of the numbers. I know it depends a lot on the growth, but do you think it is promising?> > It seems to me that first measurements are a bit off (even if you take into consideration error margins), since some of the numbers from today are smaller than the ones from before. We were measured manually by the same ortho each time. The only difference is that Aman had lots lots of hair (like a 2-3 year old), when we went for the first visit and he had none today. > > I attached the report to this email in case the resolution of the posted one isn't good enough.> Thanks.> Zhyldyz, mama to Aman, ~6 mo, 4 weeks into passive helmet>
