Guest guest
I don't know about the others, but they didn't put me on those. In the hospital they gave me morphine for pain and prednisone for inflammation. For home I got liquid vicodin. You should definitely ask your OS what they plan to give you. Guest guest
I had upper jaw surgery on November 16th and only took the pain medicine a couple of times to help me sleep. I never really experienced any pain from the surgery itself. I know that some people do have some pain though. It is pretty standard for the doctors to ask about previously allergies to medications and I am sure they could probably prescribe something to help you in controlling pain if needed that will not had an adverse reaction. > > Hi. Guest guest
First, is it that they make you throw up? if so regardless to what they consider giving you bring that up asap...you may need a nausea med to help control things regardless... last thing you want to do is be vomiting...esp if you are banded or wired shut...you could aspirate. Maybe Vicodin will be an option...that's something the OR and perhaps pharmacy can tell you more about. JO > > Hi. I am having upper jaw and a bone graft done in a few months. Guest guest
I am allergic to aspirin, so that makes me allergic to all pain medication pills, any type, any brand. The only thing I was allowed to take was codein syrup. And it worked well. I took it for 3 days I think and then I was done with it. Tylenol for the hip, from time to time.
