All,

Its been many years that I have waited for the surgery. I had my Top

Jaw moved forward and down. Spent 2 days in the hospital and was

miserable the first couple of days because I can not take the Codeine

Syrup because it gives me serious stomach aches. Found out that

Childrens Advil - Grape Flavored taste really good and it actually

works. Same thing does for DimaTapp. Just have to increase the dose

a little.

I had a couple of questions for you, does the drainage dripping out of

your nose have a strange smell. My smells.

I have problems sleeping at night. Get maybe 5 hours or so. Thoughts?

Thanks again all.

Ask your doc about the smell. I don't think that's a good sign, but

he may have other ideas.

Remember, too, that your senses of taste and smell may be altered

while you're in recovery. Or you may be smelling things for the first

time, really.

But call and ask. You don't need to be nurturing an infection. It

could also be coming from your splint.
