Guest guest
Girls, I know your Birthdays are either coming up very soon or are already here, and I would like to wish you both Happy Birthday, and all the luck and happiness, and most importantly, that in a few months you feel so good you won't remember you ever had this surgery! Guest guest
Hey Katja, I'm feeling OK - I guess it could be worse . The splint is out, so that's good. But I keep biting my cheek on the left side when I eat, and that's annoying and painful. I'm also pretty numb inside, and I hope that goes away soon. I now have somewhat of a crossbite, and I hope it will be taken care of by the ortho - I'm seeing him next Thursday. I can't wait to feel normal again, but I know it's a long process. But I think I'm getting used to the new me more and more every day, and that's progress too. BTW, have you posted your pictures yet? I'm wondering what everyone's results look like. Guest guest
Hi Irene, Yes... could be better, could be worse... I am also waiting for feeling to replace all the numbness!!! I am jealous that you have your splint out though. That is definitely a step in the right direction! I am wondering what kind of ortho I am facing to finish everything up too. Must be frustrating with the chewing and biting your cheek a lot though- Yow! At least you are getting to chew right now, lucky lady It IS taking time to get used to everything... I am slowly getting used to the new me too.... I am wondering what the final outcome will be. I still have some swelling and such, and it is hard to tell with the teeth since I still have the splint, surgical hooks, and wax everywhere! Have you posted pictures? I have not yet. I am waiting to get a little further down the road with the swelling so you can see better what that final result will be. I'm not quite there yet. I would love to see everyone's pictures though, definitely. I'll get some up in the next couple weeks I'm sure. How about you? I hope your ortho appt. goes well next week. I meet with my OS again next thurs. We'll have to compare notes Let me know what he tells you about the cross bite! I would imagine he can get that fixed. Do you know yet how much longer you'll have to have the braces?? Before surgery, my ortho told me about 6 months. I say by Christmas would be good enough for me! Take care, and keep in touch, Irene! katja > > > > > > Girls, > > > > > > I know your Birthdays are either coming up very soon or are already > > > here, and I would like to wish you both Happy Birthday, and all the > > > luck and happiness, and most importantly, that in a few months you > > > feel so good you won't remember you ever had this surgery! > > > > > > Irene.
