Guest guest
I was getting my period twice a month really heavy and the doctor put me on Provera for ten days. However, that stuff puts me in a real " dark place " where I don't want to be, so stopped taking it to regulate my periods and decided to live with the constant bleeding. Can't take birth control pills because they make me terribly sick. Was diagnosed with adenomyosis about a month ago and will be undergoing a hysterectomy on Tuesday. Not saying that's what you need. My problem was diagnosed with a sonogram. Sometimes with the birth control pills if you change a pharmaceutical company you may get better results. The Provera usually worked to put me back on schedule, but always suffered from severe depression from it. That doesn't happen to everyone, just one of the side effects that happened to have hit me. Speak to your doctor about that and possible sonogram to see if there are any other processess going on. Hope this helps. Regina
Guest guest
BC pills helped me with similar problems but I had to use the " high dose " type to get the benefits. Instead, my gyn put in a new type of IUD (called Mirena) that takes about 3 months to get full benefit from. What a huge difference! No pain and just sporatic periods that are more like breakthrough bleeding than a true period.
