help needed again - and did I get the right stuff

Phyllis, see if your HFS carries any Gluten Free Pantry products. Many of

them do. GFP has a mix called CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE BROWNIES and it is delicious.

That is what I used in the place of a birthday cake for my son as I didn't

have a gluten free cake recipe.

Okay, let me first apologize for being such a pain in

the you know what. I am just so nervous about this

diet. I went shopping today and this is what I got:

Ener-G Potato Starch Flour

Ener-G Tapioca Flour

Ener-G Pure Rice Flour

Gluten Free Bread Crumbs

Arrowhead Mills Wheat Free All-Purpose Baking Mix

Arrowhead Mills Gluten Free Pancake and Waffle Mix

Now for the questions:

First, did I get the right products for baking?

Second, Can I use any of these for making sandwich

bread with, that actually tastes good. I still need

something for making sandwiches for my kids with.

Also, I could not find Xanthum Gum or Guar Gum

anywhere, but the guy at one HFS said he could

probably order it for me, but it will take a while.

Also, my mom's birthday is this weekend and I would

like to make a cake or cookies or something. Can I

use any of these for that, and again does anyone have

a recipe that is actually good tasting. Thanks in

advance.

Oh, also, for breads, can I use these mixes in a bread

machine or do I have to use the oven?

You should go to www.missroben.com and order her chocolate and yellow

cake mixes. No one would ever guess they were gfcf. Her cookie mixes

are great too.They usually come in 2 days so you might even have them

in time for the weekend!

Hey, I just went to their website and noticed that

they are in Glastonbury, CT. I live in Bristol, CT

about 25 minutes away. Hmmm. Wonder if I can just go

to their store or if there is a store near them that

sells their stuff. I didnt see any at the HFS I went

to today in my town.
