Guest guest
Does anyone have a good recipe for lemon cookies. I was going to use the one in Raman Prasad's book but it calls for baking powder. Thanks

Or, with such recipes (like Prasad's, I've found you can pretty safely use baking soda instead of powder). You can use a basic almond-flour cookie recipe and put lemon juice (and lemon zest, if you wish) in it instead of whatever spices an original recipe may call for. I do that with a cinnamon cookie recipe I have. You can substitute lemon -- or almond or peppermint extract or whatever legal flavor you have a hankering for.n-- Now available. Guest guest
The recipe in Raman Prasad's book is great and is a staple at our house. My kids love it. Do not use baking powder, just use baking soda instead. I think that there is a misprint throughout Prasad's book where it says baking powder instead of soda. Just ignore it and use baking soda in its place. I love Elana's recipes and have her new cook book, but to me lavender in food tastes horrible. I think it belongs only in soaps and toiletries. - > > Does anyone have a good recipe for lemon cookies. Guest guest
Raman issued a note about errors. Wherever the book says " baking powder " you need to substitute " baking soda. " I haven't tried baking these cookies yet, but they should turn out well with baking soda.
