Swimming & sinus pressure

Hey everyone! I have a question for anyone who has gone swimming

after having jaw surgery. I had upper and lower surgery about 6

months ago, and when I swim laps, I get a weird pressure sensation

in my upper jaw/sinus that goes down into one of my front teeth. It

doesn't necessarily hurt, but it doesn't feel good either. It almost

feels like my sinus bones are vibrating and I'm hoping I'm not doing

any damage. Has anyone else ever experienced this or know what's

going on? Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks!

Call your surgeon and ask someone in his or her office.

I doubt that it's anything serious, but best to find out.

It's not unusual to have issues with pressure in the ears after

surgery, and I'm guessing that this may be related. But why guess?

You've paid someone to give you real answers!

i have recently had a sinus infection and have been having odd

sensations in the " roots of my back molars " when i blow my nose.

everything seems different to some degree after this surgery and i

don't expect some of it to ever go away. Good luck.

I've had that sensation when blowing my nose (rinsing it with water -

I suck it up and blow it out). It's just a different feeling.

But as Cammie says, check it with your surgeon.
