Guest guest
You have taken a huge step towards a better life, so keep it rolling and tell hubby to lose the attitude or else. I would sit him down and pound out the line - What's OK and what isn't....What bothers you the most, etc. Ask him point blank questions, like why does he do this? Why does he think it's OK, how does he think it makes you feel? Do this EVERY time he does something rude to you. His attitute is total BS and it HAS to stop. I'm guessing his attitude is a major contributing factor to your weight gain/self confidence issues. Do you want him to also be a factor in WLS failure? Harsh words, I know, but it's now or never. Marriage counseling would be great too. If he won't go, go without him. You deserve to be happy. Best of luck and hang in there! You're doing GREAT!!! 11/18/03 284/249 preop/
Guest guest
, you are better than that. My ex-husband did the same thing. During one of the times I lost 100 pounds, my ex would say, " why is your stomach still so big " or when I had lost 3 pounds that week at Weight Watchers, he would say " why didn't you lose more " ....I finally got the courage and divorced the jerk. He thinks he is perfect and I couldn't live up to him no matter what I did. You have done a wonderful losing 70 pounds. Don't let him get you down. It's his problem that he can't see you for who you are. I finally found a man who loves me for me....and he is supporting me completely with this surgery. I can't wait to lose and only one reason is that I want him to be proud of me....but I don't have to lose weight for him to be proud of me, that's the difference. Incidentally, when I lost 100 pounds, it didn't help my marriage at all, if anything it was worse. So don't expect your marriage to be better, but you can feel better about yourself and enjoy being thinner....for lots of reasons, including your health and physically feeling better being at the top of the list. Hang in there, Jena Approved for surgery in KY 290/160 goal
