Guest guest
Debbie,I just leave mine on the counter. Whenever I need some oil, I just plunk the jar into a pan of very hot tap water and within minutes it is in a liquid state (I live in a cold climate). After awhile of sitting out again, it is hard once more.If there isn't any mold, you are most likely o.k., just don't refrigerate it in the future.AmeliaHusband UC 9 years, SCD 19monthsLDN 3 mgFrom: Debbie To: btvc-scd <BTVC-SCD >; SCDiet Sent: Mon, February 8, 2010 6:35:05 PMSubject: Coconut Oil Q Is raw extra virgin oil coconut supposed to be better refrigerated or not? I had it refrigerated and recently noticed the bottle said not to refrigerate. I don't want it to go rancid. I wish I'd found it sooner. It's sooo good. debbie 40 cd

Guest guest
Sounds like you have done the test for us, then. I can state that the coconut oil which arrived the week before Hurricane Katrina did not die from being un-airconditioned or refrigerated for about five weeks in August and September in New Orleans. It didn't go with us when we evacuated.
