Guest guest
I'm so happy for you about your pregnancy, congratulations! Yes, you are right about heavy women being generally less fertile as a population than women who are of a more normal weight. It is a delicate subject, and I wish the fertility specialists would come out and actually discuss this fact with women of substance. This would save them much mental anguish trying to get pregnant and money in fertility treatments that may never work until they loose a substancial amount of weight and their hormone levels drop to normal. Don't worry about your age. I had an older mother and never even noticed she was so much older than my friend's mothers; this just never occurs to a child, as a parent's age is irrelevant to them...love, security, nurturing and nutrition are what a child requires, and this can be given by the mother no matter what her age [or even inabilities due to physical limitations of their body...my mother was not only older but she was crippled, and it never bothered me that she couldn't do the play stuff other mothers could do...in fact, later on when I was 7 years old, I was proud of myself when I could support and help her when she had my brother when she was far into her 40's.]Just another thought for the day, Lynda
