Guest guest
Marla, Guess I should of added that I have an appointment with Univeristy of Texas South West in Dallas, Texas on Apr.8 2009. Made the appintment over 6 months ago. UTSW has highest success rate in treating and control this monster. I am hopeful that will be able to change Drs at that time. Also I have only been aware of Sarcoidosis for 1 year now. But looking over my history and listening to people online here. I think I may had it for alot longer then that. Because several times over last 15 I have been misdiagnose with Hep. B and everytime the tested for Hep. B I came up clean and there was no further testing or diagnose. I am truthfully Blessed to have so mild of case compare to others at time it just in my brain, and if I get it under control. I will be able to do what I love and be a Master Auto Tech for Mercedes- Benz again. Marla thank you for your comments and may you have many blessed and pain free days. Guest guest
Greg, my vertigo is different. It occurs when I look up (keeps me from changing ceiling light bulbs!) and if I lie flat. It used to occur whenever I turned to my right side or just turned my head, like at the dentist. But over the past couple of years, that's improved. Now it's mostly just when I look up. It started back in 1999 with the first attack on my 8th cranial nerve; lost much of my hearing in the right ear, developed tinnitis & vertigo. I've gotten used to the tinnitis, although I never thought I would; I thought it would drive me crazy. The vertigo was severe at first & Antivert helped, but gradually lessened. When the sarc hit the left nerve, I just had the hearing loss, but no tinnitis or vertigo. Weird, huh? The other thing that happens with the vertigo is nystagmus, where my eyes zip back & forth. Really freaks people out. I keep wanting to take my video camera to a neurology appt & have him trigger a good bout of vertigo, then video the eye trick.
