Re: About emailing Dr. Ponseti again

Well, earlier I called the Iowa office on e's behalf and

emailed off-list. =) Gloria told me that Joyce was off all of last

week and she's only in on Monday and Friday normally. She said that

Dr. P (and Joyce) gets 50-60 emails per day, and since Joyce can

only work on them the two days that she's in, it's easy to get

behind. She also said that Joyce has to download the pictures to

her hard drive to print them out, and sometimes the computer gets

bogged down, or won't open the pictures, and then Joyce has to ask

their IT Dept. to help them out. It didn't sound like anyone dealt

with the email except Joyce.

I suggested to e that he either call Dr. Ponseti or email Dr.

Morcuende if the family doesn't want to wait for the email response

from Dr. P through Joyce. Gloria said that the best time to reach

Dr. P was 2:30 or 3 pm central time.

Oh, yes, and I asked Gloria if Dr. Ponseti knew Italian and she said

that he spoke seven languages, but she didn't know which ones. That

just amazed me. He is such an incredible person!

So, e, if you're reading this, the odds are that Dr. P probably

does know Italian. :)

Hi I remember I e-mailed him around the same time as you and I still

haven't recived a response either, I'm wondering if they are swamped

over there. Maybe you can call them on the telephone and ask if they

recived the photo's etc. Good Luck

You know he's from Spain so I suppose Italian wouldn't be a far reach.

Dear , , Michele, Christee,

thank you really very much for your help. I will try to call directly Dr.

Ponseti and possibly write to Dr. Morcuende so we can speed up things.

I don't have any particular problem in talking to him, but I cannot be of much

help as I am not a doctor: I hope that they have somewhere the pictures I sent!

I will keep you updated on this matter!

Thanks

e

Wow I did not know that about dr.P. I told that to my husband and he responeded

" well listen to his name. It sounds like 7 different languages. Just thought a

little laugh here was good to share.
