Guest guest
Thanks Bess, I mean it, and all of you, thanks for your support and kindness, so good not to be alone in all this, isn't it? s. Re: Late Tuesday Night ee, I am so sorry to hear this news and can certainly understand your anger and disappointment. Remember that you have the support of everyone here on this board. Guest guest
LOL! Thanks Kim, man I did feel like punching pillows yesterday. Thanks for understanding that. Mom tried to give me a pep talk ya know and I didn't WANT a pep talk! I was mad! haha s. Re: Late Tuesday Night Oh, ee, wish you had better news. Go ahead and be mad for a while! That's more than understandable. Boy #3 has got to be one of the most fortunate little babies around. He'll get the best of care for his feet & love from brothers & parents who can so empathize with him. You'll get to that " acceptance " stage later. For now, punch the heck out of a few pillows. Guest guest
Ya, absolutely sure. It was clear as a bell on that good u/s machine; the doc was good about taking his time and pointing things out and on that high-tech machine there was really no doubt when we looked. So to answer our own question... " What are the odds? " Um, exactly the same as they were the last two times! ha. s. NO!! ee, were they absolutely sure??? That just seems impossible. I mean, we were joking about the odds, but come on! Regardless, please don't let yourself get so bummed by the news. > > GlacierWell I guess you could say - or at least I could say - this turned out to be a day I could have done with out. Guest guest
Thanks , it's starting to sink in, I can at least say it now with out bursting in to tears so that's something, huh? I figure by this afternoon I'll finally find myself laughing at the absurdity of the reality. Life is always stranger than fiction! shaw ee, I am so sad to hear this, I feel so badly for you. As soon as I started reading your email I just knew what you were going to say; I almost started crying myself. I just wish I knew why these things happen. All I can really say is to remember that we are all here for you and if you want to just vent, feel free. And please, you let me know if there is anything, and I mean anything, I can do for you. Big hugs, > > GlacierWell I guess you could say - or at least I could say - this turned out to be a day I could have done with out. Guest guest
Yes Congratulations to me! Thank you , I mean that, I am blessed I know. It's not a matter of loving him any less, you know. I'm so sorry he has to do this though. s. ee, You almost have me in ears too. I could really feel your feelings by the way you wrote your email. First, I know you were hoping to have a girl. Second, it would be nice not to have to spend the 1st 4 years with your little one at the doctors office for once, right? The good news is, you know you can handle it. I really think there is a reason for this. At the same time, what are the odds of all 3 children having clubfeet? This has to be for the record books! Please don't be upset (I know, easier said than done). Please look at the flip side; an otherwise healthy boy, who will grab your heart and love just as the other 2 have. You already have the clothes, so life is good. Congrats on boy #3!! number23 wrote: GlacierWell I guess you could say - or at least I could say - this turned out to be a day I could have done with out. Guest guest
Oh Kathleen, your poor friend, I can't imagine the horror she is living with trying to hold on to her baby. Prayers and hugs to her, OK? And to you for being such a good friend. s. Re: Late Tuesday Night ee- I am sorry to hear this news for you-at least you do know what your treatment options are, have time to plan, and continue to enjoy this pregnancy. I heard and appreciated when someone told me that the baby is a gift and that this child chooses his/her parents. We all may not appreciate the cards we are dealt, but it is our option to make those cards a full house. I am currently helping my friend cope with bedrest-her water broke at 24 weeks(after 3 prior miscarriages)- with the grace and assistance of modern medicine, we hope to get her to 28 weeks. So my full house for her is sending her cards/emails, making phone calls, and just plain listening to her. If you need someone to listen to or want to vent-feel free to come our way!! Best wishes, know that this child chose you to be his mommy! take care and hugs- kathleen mom to david bcf fab 12/7 > > GlacierWell I guess you could say - or at least I could say - this turned out to be a day I could have done with out. Guest guest
That's right, ee. Just keep in mind that you're a pro at this. Even though it may take its toll on you somewhat, this baby is so lucky to have a mommy that knows the clubfoot business inside out. All your boys have a good bonding agent now and as they get older they will greatly appreciate all the work you put into this. > GlacierWell I guess you could say - or at least I could say - this turned out to be a day I could have done with out. Guest guest
ee, big hugs to you girl!!! If anyone deserves a break it is you for cripes sakes!!! But also, I feel that this is one lucky little boy, he will be receiving the best treatment there is and he has a great *expert* mommy to help him along the way! Sorry to hear the news but very happy to hear that otherwise he is a healthy little guy!! Guest guest
Oh damn ee! What rotten, rotten luck! I can only imagine how angry you must be. I'm sure it's not any consilation, but I think God has sent you another special little guy because he knows he will be in the best possible hands. Hang in there. Guest guest
Thanks ee! I liked 's message that your other 2 boys would tease the newbie if he hadn't had clubfoot. My siblings tend to love to tease the baby of the family my sister since she didn't get to experience everything we did!! LOL-siblings are the best.
