Guest guest
>Hi everyone, I have been in the hospital again, due to severe vertigo. Has anyone had a problem with this? It is devestating. i can barely stand let alone move without turning or even looking right. It started so suddenly and set off an adrenal crisis, i was so sick I did not eat for days. I am receiving vestibular therapy and it is going very well. It has been nice to read the check-in posts. I had the hardest time sending mine it kept coming back as an attachment but I had not thought I had attached but of course my niece came over and straightened out for me. Guest guest
Anne, I have the same issue at times with vertigo. I will feel vertigo coming on and will then sit down or lay down. MY vertigo is intermitten and it proceeds the lost of muscle control. I went to check the mail yesterday and felt vertigo coming on but did not sit down. I lost control of my muscle and I fell breaking my wooden cane and cutting a gouge of skin out my right palm. The vertigo and lost of muscle control lasted about two minutes. I assume have neurosarcoidosis like me. I hope and pray that the doctors can you with this. My doctors can not or will not help me with this. Which is why I am changing doctors at this time. May you be blessed with his goodness, Greg aka Krumdawg > > > >Hi everyone, I have been in the hospital again, due to severe vertigo. > Has anyone had a problem with this? Guest guest
Hey fellow companions,Yes, I have had allot of problems with vertigo which often comes right before or after the loss of muscle control. My doctors here do not have much idea about sarcoidosis and often times say that sarcoid cannot even control the vertigo. They say I have sarcoidosis in the heart, brain, the lungs, and throughout the nervous system, but after that they leave me to figure out what is going wrong with me as I have many falls, been placed in a wheelchair, and have the vertigo problems. On top of this, I belong to a Catholic church who does not seem to understand what is going on with me despite many of them having their doctors and nurses licenses. Today, I wanted to take my service dog on a retreat with me, as she often helps in cases of emergency, but they told me that if I bring her, she will have to stay outside if she bothers anyone, which some will say she bothers then just to make her stay outside. So far this morning, my vertigo is running rapid, I have just about fallen more then five times (if it had not been for my service dog and husband, I would have fallen), and do not feel on top of the world. The church group has me over a barrel, if I do not go, then I will be voted out of the secular fransicans as tomorrow they decide rather or not to let one join. However, by going, I am not able to take my service dog and this is leaving me vunerable to having problems. I do not know which way is going to be better. Ughs, I hate having neurosarcoidosis! Guest guest
Greg, you so need to be changing doctors, that's crazythat you are falling and hurting yourself. I use to have a balance problem, but it wasn't vertigo, it was like I just couldn't walk a straight line or even stand still, and I used a cane for that, but since I started Remicade I am so much better, I no longer use the cane, I still have a small issue with balance especially when I am tired. But you need to get in to another doctor, so he can get you on something. I'm sorryyou are having these problems. here's some positive thoughts your way:) Blessings, Marla May the Lord bless you and keep you,May the Lord make his face to shine upon You,And be gracious to you;May the Lord lift up his favor upon you and give you his peace.(Numbers 6:24-26) Anne, I have the same issue at times with vertigo. Guest guest
I have had a very interesting experience with a good friend of mine recently. In fact, it's still ongoing. Skot had been suffereing from severe vertigo, and dizziness with seizures for over a year. Every test available had been done via Kaiser. No cause came up. So they told him it was Meniere's. Skot is an avid beer maker-- and loves his hops. I don't like beer-- but this was good stuff! Homemade! After hanging out with him for a few days, making trips to and from Sacramento to Kaiser and being bounced around the medical system from hell-- I started watching what he was eating on those days. He'd start off with breakfast of yoghurt with the fruit at the bottom, add some honey granola, take a few nuts with him in a baggie of "gorp"-- you know, raisins, M & M's, nuts, dried fruits, etc. He'd also have a couple of Snickers bars with him. Lunch was an In & Out burger-- and a large amount of soda. Needless to say-- the yogurt has a tremendous amout of High Fructose Corn Syrup to sweeten the fruit. All the dried fruit in his gorp has a huge amount of sugar. His beer at night was a huge hit of fermented hops, with the alcohol being a bit higher than normal. But any ETOH (alcohol) raises blood sugar. Blood sugar in excess creates yeast infections. In guys, it doesn't show like in us ladies, so he wasn't aware that he had a problem. When I questioned his girlfriend, it seems she has had ongoing problems with yeast. Well, gang--- I explained that all the HFCS-- even in yogurt with "live cultures" offsets the benefits of the live culture. So he wasn't getting any help there. Everything else was continuing to feed the sugar issue-- and candida can and does cause Vertigo and dizziness. So, he went on a diet, got rid of the yogurt with the fruit already in it-- got rid of the dried fruits, got rid of the carbs that turn to sugar, (wheat and flour products) has now cut out his beer, and sodas, etc. He also started on ThreeLac-- a powder that is to balance the gunk in his gut-- and almost immediately- his Vertigo went a way. He is still dealing a bit with dizziness, but the Naturopathic doc had him use Sesame Oil and ginger (fresh) in a warm eardrop, and his dizziness is 90% improved. We got him to drinking water-- and he has cut out all the caffeine---- This guy has suffered from chronic back pain for 45 yrs--- and had to give up his golf five yrs ago-- and since he made these changes, his muscles are softening, and he is back to playing 18 holes. He is following the Swarzbein Program also, and it is night and day! The candidis was so entreached in his body that he still has a ways to go, but we're almost there. I'm doing most of the same things, and have noticed quite a difference myself. My problem is that I have PCOS and the cysts on my ovaries are demanding increased insulin to survive-- so I'm now officially insulin dependent diabetic . (Learned today to do the shots...) Once again guys, it's coiming down to diet. Love to all, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator
