Guest guest
Heres something we do now in terms of insurance. If your employer has the option of allowing you a choice of insurance plans, do NOT get an HMO. Try to get a PPO or POS instead. These will allow you to see other doctors outside of your primary doctor and they cover 80-90%, usually after a $1000 deductible is met. This has allowed us to see a great DAN Dr,. as well as an out of state neuro. Also, once my sons flimsy 20 allowed visits of speech and OT were up, this plan allowed us to continue for about $5.00 per session. If you or your spouses employer does not offer a POS or PPO, enquire to the benefits department. Companies are always shopping around. We have United Healthcare, and it's actually been excellent. We are also on a program where my husband has a specific amount of " before tax $$ " taken out of his pay for the sole use of non covered medical expenses, including Dr visits, tests, meds, therapies, even vitamins.. Anything the insurance won't pick up. They give us a MasterCard with the limit on it. Pretty handy. Wendi r Re: trouble finding a doctor-help needed > We have only one DAN Doctor in our entire state.
