Which department did you go to and which doc did you see? It' s only 3 hrs away for us...not totally out of the question..Thanks!From: rlbgerhardt <rlbgerhardt@...>Subject: Re: Help finding competant specialist in OhioPlagiocephaly Date: Thursday, February 5, 2009, 12:48 AM

HI, sorry about your experience. I am in the Cincinnati area. We go

to Children's Hospital Plastic Surgery Dept. in Cincinnati. My son

has had a band for 2 weeks now. The staff we have worked with have

been great so far. I also know someone who went to Dayton Children's

Neuro Dept and had success. If you have any question about

Cincinnati, let me know.

Is there something on Children's site about the Plagio Clinics where I could get more info?I really appreciate the help!! I want to get my little girl into a helmet before it gets worse....but can't seem to get that through the doc's heads!!Thanks! From: rlbgerhardt <rlbgerhardt@...>Subject: Re: Help finding competant specialist in OhioPlagiocephaly Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 5:14 PM

We went to see Dawn Rothchild at Cincinnati Childrens (Plastic

Surgery). Every Wednesday they do a Plagio Clinic and your child is

evaluated by a physical therapist and someone who specializes in

plagio. They also did a 30 min info session as well. If you

decide to go with a helmet (we did) someone from Hanger Ortho (Brace

Shop) will scan your little ones head and measure them for a

helmet. Our helmet came in in about 8 days and we had our fitting.

We go back every 2 weeks (we had a couple extra appts early on to

get a better fit). We see at Hanger. We have had the helmet

4 weeks tomorrow and have seen improvement. Please let me know if

you have any other questions.

I can't see anywhere on their pages that mentions the clinic on Wednesdays...I will call down there. How long ago did you go?Thanks! From: rlbgerhardt <rlbgerhardt@...>Subject: Re: Help finding competant specialist in OhioPlagiocephaly Date: Wednesday, February 18, 2009, 4:47 PM

Our son was doing PT for torticollis and his therapist set up an

appt for us.

Here is the website. They are under the Plastic Surgery Dept

Cranial Facial Center (Sorry, I didn't mention that earlier)!
