Guest guest
Ok, as a klutz from WAY back, I am banned from ladders, step stools, chairs, anything that is more the a few inches off the ground! Eight months after my FIRST knee replacement, I was helping paint the dinning room when I fell of the little step stool I was standing on. When I fell, do you think I would hurt the old knee that had YET to be replaced? NOT ON YOUR LIFE. I had to sprain the NEW knee. My Ortho surgeon nearly had heart failure when he found out. And it was HIM who told to ban me from anything I could fall off of. It is so unfair! Vicki, you sound like a normal person to me. The athletic, with perfect bodies are not normal. I was so proud of being able to climb the stairs without holding on. But I know, that my complete lack of coordination will send me down those stairs. I no longer have all that fat to break my fall. You are right, we non coordinated people of the world do not speak up. :0) Fay Bayuk **300/168 10/23/01 Dr. Open RNY 150 cm
Guest guest
I also do not have good balance, its important to remember that we are still somewhat impaired, 6 years out and I still wibble-wobble at times. I overdid my new superpowers and now have to hold on again using stairs. So my message is, be careful with your new quality of life, you can break it and end up back in your chair. None of us want that. hugzzz flo
Guest guest
Hi everyone, Speaking of adjustments to the new bod-I have trouble with wind. Yes, that too-but I am referring to mother nature winds blowing outside! I find that after having been about 350 for so long, a good gust can knock my 173 pound body on it's butt!! It catches me off balance.... Guest guest
No joke on the wind. I blow frequently all day long. Best places: before I get into the car-leave it for the guy in the next parking space; in the aisle of the store-and keep moving (best in the freezer section-the cold makes 'em linger!). Oh-my two dogs often take the blame, but they have no clue. They just get up and leave. ....and if I don't laugh, I would die of embarrassment! Just one more biological function to deal with. Guest guest
Devrom really does work. It's a chewable tablet, sugar-free, that tastes like banana (and tastes good to me). Renders every product of the GI tract, in every form, very nearly odor-free. It is strange but wonderful. Yes, it is possible to make your sh*t not stink like everyone else's! Re: Re: White knuckling I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who does this! I continually embarrass myself and there's nothing that I can do about it!! Is there any kind of OTC meds that might help? Thanks! Robi in TX 7/22/02 -133 lbs.
