Guest guest
I am 5 years post op open RNY. I have been taking Vioxx for three years now and have not had any problems. It actually made my life so much more livable (I have herniated lumbar and cervical discs and degeneration) Last year my insurance said they would no longer pay for it, however after I submitted proof of trying all other drugs available and letters from my doctors they approved it. It is very important to know all the ins and outs of your insurance benefits and even when it seems immpossible to never give up without a fight. Insurance companies are to use to people accepting a NO without going any furthur. Annie

I chose quality of life over quantity. If I start having stomach problems, then I will deal with it. I can walk on the treadmill, climb stairs at work, play with the grandbabies. Without Vioxx, I might as well be Morbidly Obese because of the limitations it would place on my life.
