Guest guest
Judie - or anyone who knows - I can fill up a glass with 12 ounces of water and gulp the whole thing down with no problem. Is this normal for being almost 7 months post-op or is that too much volume? Needless to say, I can also eat that much. I often eat a whole burger or chicken sandwich from mcdonald's, half to 2/3 of my fries and half a coke. I'm starting to think my stomach is WAY too big. -Sherry (Lake Marcel, WA) BPD/DS Feb. 2, 2001 self-pay 5'5 " / 304 pounds / 34 years old Lost 9 pounds in pre-op weight loss efforts Have lost 107 pounds since surgery! Guest guest
Sherry......dont laugh but I can drink a 16 ounce glass of protein drink but it will take me 15 min to do so! I think there is a difference between drinking liquids and eating cottage cheese for the cottage cheese test. I get full on 9 ounces of cottage cheese yet I can drink more in liquids than that. I also get very full on just a few bites of watermellon so I dont know know how much is normal or exactly how much my stomach can hold. I guess as long as you are still losing, its ok? Ive really slowed down though......only lost 8 lbs since June and none for the last couple of weeks. I can eat 3/4 of a whopper with cheese, 4-5 bites of fries and a few small sips of root beer. then Im not hungry for about 5 hours!
