I saw the neurosurgeon today & she reviewed my last two sets of MRI's. She wants to get at EMG on that leg to be sure that the pain isn't caused by something else. I've had EMG's on both arms/hands & feet & they didn't bother me at all; one of the advantages of the numbing effect of neuropathy I guess. Most people have told me they were really painful. If she feels that the pain is coming from the lumbar disc(s), the microsurgery is a promising treatment for the leg pain. I get the EMG next Monday & see the doc a week later. Meanwhile, I'm just staying down with frozen french fries packed along my leg!

Rose, I hope you get some answers soon on what is going on with your leg. It sucks to be in pain and under frozen veggies or potatoes all the time! Thinking of you,

Here's hoping it's all good news Rose, that kind of nerve pain will drive you nuts. Take it slow and protect that back till she tells you different, and don't add ketchup to the french fries. Connie

Thanks, Connie! I've never liked ketchup with my fries for some reason, so no worries there. I didn't get the EMG Monday; they called that morning & said they needed to reschedule, but still haven't gotten a call back. Arrrggghhh. My dog's still peeing in the kitchen (almost sounds like another country song, huh?). My son's willing to pull up the kitchen carpet & put in linoleum, but I'm afraid that she'll then move to the dining room, and that carpet's a lot harder to clean. Oh, woe is me. All the problems in the world & I'm fretting about my epileptic dog! She's such a sweetheart & so funny. The joy & laughter she brings to my life outweigh the hassles.

Well, I slept all evening & I have to get up at 7:30am to take my granddaughter for her first driving lesson. She started classroom work Mon. This is the only early morning drive lesson; the others are all in the afternoon. I'm just going to take some pillows & a blanket & sleep in the car there; it's not worth coming home & then going right back to get her. So I'm back to bed; try to sleep a few more hours.

I'll work on answering more emails later today.

Rose, you can buy these training pads for dogs to pee on. Maybe she would use them...? They are very absorbent and like large flat pampers....lol. Hope you find a solution. hugs S. 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself" ( 16:24 NIV)."No one whose hope is in You will ever be put to shame….Show me Yourways, O LORD, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teachme, for You are God my Savior, and My hope is in You all day long."Psalm 25:3,4,5 NIV

Thanks, , but when I've tried to put something down, she just scrunches it all up & goes somewhere else. I really hoped treating her for a UTI would help, but it didn't. I actually bought a dog diaper, with the tail hole & velcro fasteners. It was the largest one they had, but it barely fits her & she gets it off easily. My house isn't designed where I can fence her off in the kitchen & I don't have room for a crate large enough for her. I don't think I could bare to put her in a crate anyway; those big sad Bassett eyes would haunt me all night!
