Guest guest
A sleep sack might help. There's a pattern for one in the files or you can buy them. But there is probably just some nicks you'll have to learn to live with, too. We put Everett from a crib in to a play pen so avoid the banging and that helped cuz he'd bang himself awake so much....but the sleep sack helped him sleep way better too cuz he stayed warm with out being tangled in blankets. s. DBB and Crib Hello, Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to keep the crib from being nicked up from the DBB. I hate to be materialistic but this crib is going to be 's bed for many years to come. We took the bumpers off when he started moving quite a bit because we found him a few times with his face pressed up against them. is constantly banging his feet against the side of the crib. Any suggestions would be helpful. Is there a time that the bumpers can be put back on the crib or should they be left off permanently? There are so many rules out now because of the SIDS that I do not know what to do. Or, do I just look at it that those nicks in the furniture will be memories of his clubfoot when he is older. Guest guest
Stacey- I recommend a sleep sack-HALO makes a nice one. They come in cotton or fleece. My son is a banger and the added cushion helps soften the blows. Another option would be to cover the bar with padding-you can use either bicycle handle, or pipe insulation foam, or even the car seat velcro covers-this too may help the nicking-well at least from the bar. hth, kathleen mom to david bcf fab 12/7 > > Hello, > > Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to keep the crib > from being nicked up from the DBB. Guest guest
Sleep sacks work really well. I've heard the Halo ones fit well, although we have opted to make out own using the pattern located in the files section on this board. > > Hello, > > Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to keep the crib > from being nicked up from the DBB.
