Guest guest
Hello everybody, we just got back from the doctor and the situation of the feet of our son is not so satifactory. First of all, I have already sent an email to Dr. Ponseti with a link of some pictures of the baby's feet asking for some advice (feel free to have a look any comments will be appreciates!) http://photobucket.com/albums/d76/luciana_venturin/ The situation is this: we did 5 casts, tenotomy, 3 weeks cast and then DDB. The problem is that he can't wear the Markell shoes (they hurt or slip away) so we are switching to s which should arrive here in Italy very shortly (I hope so!). Our Doc says that the right foot is ok even if dorsiflexion is not optimal, while the left one started replapsing badly and the Achille's tendon is not perfectly healed. He told us that a second tenotomy is needed even if he's not very happy to perform it: he says that the tendons will reconstruct during the three week cast so it should not be a problem. I wonder if a second tenotomy has drawbacks and if so, which ones? We are going to do a cast in the next few weeks even if, as the doc says, it will not solve the problem as dorsiflexion is limited: as I am still waiting the response of Dr. Ponseti (I emailed him one week ago), I would like to know if somebody else experienced the same problem and which is the best thing to do. Thanks for reading, and e
