Hi -

We have the " Health Care Booster Seat " by Fisher Price and we have been

satisfied with it. It folds up nicely to travel with and has worked

well in restaurants and at grandparents'.

We have an Eddie Bauer high chair which swallowed when he

started eating solids at 5 months. That high chair would have worked

with casts if he were bigger but has a bar between the legs so it won't

be easy to use with the shoes and bar.

Three more days to go with the casts and then it is on to the shoes and

bar! What time is your appointment with Rory on Friday?

My mother-in-law had a nice high chair, I unfortunately don't remember what

brand it was. The back folds forward so it's pretty flat to pack in the car.

It has straps to attach it to a chair. The seat also adjusts up & down

depending on how tall your child is. I would assume she bought it at Target or

Walmart. I looked at the link someone else posted, and hers was not that

brand...it was a little less bulky. I think it was maybe from Safety 1st?? I

dunno. In any case you should be able to find something without too much

trouble. Good luck!

We have the Reclining 4-Stage Feeding Seat from Target. It worked

really well when Aleksander was little, and has transitioned nicely,

and is extremely portable. It reclines, and you can also adjust the

height of the seat.

We brought it everywhere when he was in the shoes during the day,

and it attaches really well to every chair we've tried, even folding

chairs.

It has a cloth cover that is machine washable, you can wash the

straps and dry them in the dryer, and if you have a dishwasher (we

don't), the chair parts are supposed to fit in the dishwasher too.

It is super easy to take apart and wash in the kitchen sink too.

Can you tell we love it?

Actually the 4-stage high chair is what we bought for both of our kids, to use

at home. I did take it with us a few times travelling, but they don't fold down

at all so we didn't bring it for long trips (ie anytime we needed luggage!).

They do clean up very well and I did like being able to machine-wash the back

cover. If you can't accommodate a large high chair in your kitchen or just

don't have the money for one, this is a great option (I think I found ours for

around $20 each). I would recommend finding another product, though, if you

don't have a lot of space when travelling, as this one doesn't fold flat.
