Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear you guys are going through all this. Don't worry, I'm sure things will get better. Just think about all the stories you'll have to tell your little guy when he grows up. > > In the continuing saga of Hayden Versus the Casts, I had to remove the > right one yesterday because his skin was deteriorating underneath (it > had been on for two weeks) and the smell was abominable. Guest guest
Poor Hayden, Poor Mom! I hope this solution works well! s. Back to the Hospital Hayden Goes... In the continuing saga of Hayden Versus the Casts, I had to remove the right one yesterday because his skin was deteriorating underneath (it had been on for two weeks) and the smell was abominable. I have posted pictures on my blog: www.boyhamham.blogspot.com So back we go today and this time my husband and I have decided we will just put him in the Markells until the s come in. We'll just buy a pair and not worry about it. Whether he is in them for a week or two days, we'll just donate them afterwards, either to Dr. Pirani's Ugandan Project or to someone local who really needs them. One day I will be putting a post up that is positive, I promise!
Guest guest
Hi , Tried calling ya but must have missed you guys...I guess that makes sense, if you had of used the pair we have here, you would have needed hardware/bar anyway. I know that you had much trepidation about using the Markell's again after your first experience but now that Hayden's feet are fully corrected, well, really hope they work out ok until your 's arrive which is hopefully gonna be SOON! Great that Dr. Pirani will be there too (does he leave tomorrow?) is great but nice that he will be there to oversee. I will give ya a shout later, & Grace > > In the continuing saga of Hayden Versus the Casts, I had to remove the > right one yesterday because his skin was deteriorating underneath (it > had been on for two weeks) and the smell was abominable. Guest guest
I would have loved to use your shoes, but as it turns out, Hayden is now in a size 0!! Progress! And since found out our s are at the border now, it's only a matter of days so she just lent us the Markells - sweet of her, eh? The nicest part was that she explained A LOT about the Markells to me and so should we use them down the road, I feel much more confident. I'll be posting about how thrilled Hayden was to be in them a bit later. I'm almost falling asleep at the computer if that tells you anything..... wrote: Hi , Tried calling ya but must have missed you guys...I guess that makes sense, if you had of used the pair we have here, you would have needed hardware/bar anyway. Guest guest
Nice of her to lend you a pair =)! So they are at the border, yea! Hope that whole fiasco that happened there dosen't slow them up any! So, I take it that he wasn't 'thrilled' with the shoes lol. How did his feet look this morning? And hope you got some sleep! & Grace > > > > In the continuing saga of Hayden Versus the Casts, I had to remove the > > right one yesterday because his skin was deteriorating underneath (it > > had been on for two weeks) and the smell was abominable. Guest guest
Poor baby! Sorry you're having such a rough time. How is he doing now? Is the doc having you put anything on the sores? Guest guest
Aww...I am so sorry to hear that. I hope everything goes well now with those shoes. na's skin is still trying to heal 3 weeks after her casts came off.
Guest guest
I think it's healing okay - it actually looks worse, very crusty and scabby, but he seems okay about it. Poor little na, too! The orthotist explained to me why babies like Hayden and na have so much trouble with slipping casts (and also the skin troubles). As we both know, they are large babies and they sweat which causes the skin breakdown, but she told me that when babies have such fat feet and you cast them, all you are holding in place is the flesh and the bones are able to move still, therefore eventually causing the slippage. If you cast a bony little foot, it stays in place. The one thing we can comfort ourselves with is that they have extra bulk on them that helps them in times of crisis, when they are sick or upset and miss a meal, they can afford it! candi_744 wrote: Aww...I am so sorry to hear that.
