Guest guest
Hi Maureen, How are you and how is that little girl of yours? I remember not too long ago when both Grace and her were just chubby babies, goes by so fast! Will ya post a pic to the cfpics site of Naomi, bet she's getting big. Just a thought here, have you thought to let her wear a pair of her fav shoes to bed for her nap? You'd probably want to wash the bottoms with a bleach cloth or somethin first though. Grace is also obsessed with shoes already at a year and a half =) Hope you are all doin well and nice to hear from you!! & Grace > > naomi is going to be two next month. this week, she has started to want > to wear her boots at nap time and will not nap if i don't put them on. > we are trying to lower her time spent in the boots, due to her feet > being really loose (this is dr. ponseti's suggestion as well as our > ortho)... i've even tried putting the boots on until she falls asleep > and then take them off, but she wakes up as soon as i do that... > > does anyone have any suggestions... she still needs her naps but she is > such a stubborn little girl... > > thanks, > maureen > naomi bcf >
Guest guest
Have you tried putting on only the shoes without the bar attached? Or how about a pair of slippers or regular shoes? > > naomi is going to be two next month. this week, she has started to want > to wear her boots at nap time and will not nap if i don't put them on. > we are trying to lower her time spent in the boots, due to her feet > being really loose (this is dr. ponseti's suggestion as well as our > ortho)... i've even tried putting the boots on until she falls asleep > and then take them off, but she wakes up as soon as i do that... > > does anyone have any suggestions... she still needs her naps but she is > such a stubborn little girl... > > thanks, > maureen > naomi bcf >
Guest guest
thanks michelle! i will definitely try that... today, i put her down with them on, she fell asleep but woke up as soon as i took the boots off. finally got her to sleep again by holding her feet as though she was in the brace and that seemed to work quite well... naomi has been bitten by the same bug as grace... high heels are her new thing... and i still have my referral to dr. pirani and if noms' ligaments don't start getting 'tighter' i think we'll be heading out west to have him check it out so maybe this summer our 'babies' can meet... maureen wrote: >Hi Maureen, > >How are you and how is that little girl of yours? Guest guest
Same things I was gonna suggest. Not always easy with kids this young but could you some how fool her by taking her shopping for a new pair of Nappie-Time shoes? Like use them if she insists but don't push or insist on them. Mean while you can tell me how you still manage to get her to take naps! lol My Everett has recently banned the whole idea. s. Re: fighting to not let naomi wear her boots...
