Dr. Dietz told us that as soon as he did Jake's tenotomy in surgery, his foot

went right to 90 degrees (so he'd stand flat on the floor). He told us that he

would have liked for it to be able to flex upwards even more, but that would

have required surgery into the ankle joint space. Dr. Dietz thinks Jake's

achilles will loosen up more over time as he runs around on it.

As far as the ATTT itself, Jake still isn't able to flex his foot up much past

90 degrees. I had him try doing it from standing on the floor and he was able

to lift it a little bit. However, this is a TON better than prior to surgery,

when he wasn't able to even get his foot up to 90 degrees.

Hope this makes sense!!

Kassia :)
