Guest guest
I would go with 's if you could for a complicated foot...the pair I bought recently cost $296.00 US funds - and this did NOT include the bar, I already had the bar. s. Thinking Ahead... Hi Gang, just thinking ahead because there may be the possibility that Hayden will have his tenotomy next week or the week after. I have been researching and think that the shoes will be the way to go since Hayden has the complex clubfeet, although Dr. Pirani hasn't specified either way. If we decide to go with the s, then we will most likely have to order them next week because they take a long time to come in. Can anyone tell me what the cost comparison is between the s and the Markells? Even if you tell me in US dollars it will give me an idea. I am hoping that we can get one pair covered on my extended health this year and one more next year. I am not planning to return to work and my benefits will run out in June (and hubby is self-employed), so it would be good to get a couple pairs of the shoes out of it. I am just curious because someone commented that the s cost more than the Markells. Thanks in advance!
Guest guest
Just a side note thought - becasue it could take a bit longer to get your mitchell shoes in the mail, is it possible to put your baby in to a " holding " cast until the shoes are available? Guest guest
I'm pretty sure it depends. When we first bought Markell's, it was directly from the orthotics people. They cost 60$ in HA, which has a pretty high cost-of-living. WE just went in with our prescription and bought them. However, we had gotten the bar from teh Army hospital, so maybe that had something to do withthe price difference...? michele_and_collin wrote: Wow! I always thought the markells were like $70/pair!!! Did they go up in price or does it just depend who you get them from? Michele > > The Markells are around $160 and the s are close to $300. IT IS WORTH TO GET THE MITCHELLS! if your child has A-Typical AKA Complex! Dont get the Markells!!!!They will be a waste of your time, and a torchure devise to your child! I know from expierence! > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Shopping > Find Great Deals on Gifts at Yahoo! Shopping > >
