Guest guest
's doctor (Dr. Herzenberg) has us doing stretching now that he is in the shoes. After these recent questions, I did a quick little research. There is a file here from Dr. Dobbs and I found this on the website of the hospital where he practices... http://www.stlouischildrens.org/default.aspx? tabid=91 & acn=view & aid=1932 " While staying true to the Ponseti method, the clinic at Children's Hospital is pioneering two enhancements. First, the clinic instructs parents in the practice of stretching and exercising the feet to improve ankle mobility. Stretching and exercising two or three times a day while the children are out of their brace for diaper changes—or later when they only wear the brace during sleep—has improved the mobility of the ankle tremendously. Dr. Ponseti endorsed the idea after reading about it in an article written by Dr. Dobbs and published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
