Guest guest
I think your next step will be orientation. Then another psych eval and another nutrition appt. From what I hear it could be any one of those depending on the appts they have available. I am stillwaiting for my approval letter. They don't get in any hurry. So just hang in there. msvoluptous wrote: I wanted to give you all a brief bio of me. I have been with Kaiser Oakland for 11 years and have a BMI of 42 I am 38 single mom of 4 kids and I have Osteoarthritis and High Blood pressure. I had my Nutition appt on May 3rd *passed* and had my Psych on Tues the 6th and *passed* I now have await for the approval letter. My evaluator said that it should take about a week for my Dr to get the paper work to me that's a long time since he's only in Alameda. My question is what are the steps after the approval letter gets here? My Dr, Orthopedic Dr, nutironist and psych evaluator all said I will be approved to have surgery because of my BMI and my co-morbodities (sp. So what happens after the approval letter? I live in Oakland so they said that Richmond will be where i would be going since it's closer. Thanks in advance im soooooooooooooooo excited!!Carol __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Wow how long has it been since your paperwork has been turned in? I heard it doesn't take that long since the Bariatric Review board meets a few times a week. I wanted to give you all a brief bio of me. Guest guest
Thanks Wanda I had my Nutirtion appt last month on the 3rd it was a breeze. I was worried the most about my psych eval and that was really fun lol. I had a really nice LCSW who did my evaluation it was a 3 page questionaire of questions that she asked me. She told me right after we were done that I was a geat canidate for surgery. It really helps to read all you can about WLS and be informed. I have so many books about WLS and I read read and read. She asked me alot of questions about the surgery in it's self. Good luck with your appt on the 28th you are going to do great :-) You are not a misfit you are fiting right in I am sure.
