Hello ita!

Thanks for the information! I am having surgery Tuesday, and will now

know to be careful. I broke my ankle last year in my car accident, and

I know how miserable that is! Best wishes for a speedy recovery! I

will say a prayer for you!

Staci

3 days til surgery!

survived...praise god! A word of caution, I recently came home on

the 30th of June and was doing wonderful! Doing everything my doctor

told me to do...then on the following evening June 29th, I felt

strong enough to take a shower on my own, slowly but surely, taking

my pain med as instructed....every six hours...and after I got out of

the bathroom and into my bedroom...I suddenly felt dizzy and decided

to sit at the foot of my bed for a minute....luckily my 13 yr old son

was in the room...and apparently I had fainted, hit my head strongly

against a wooden TV Stand, and ended on the floor with my body

looking like I had had an epileptic seizure. My son had to call

911...long story short...I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and

to boot broke my ankle...I guess it could of been worse if I had

still been standing. Anyway, WORD OF CAUTION...I was told my pain

med with the shower was not a good combination....told after the

fact. I was not aware....best to wait 4 hrs. after taking pain med

before taking a shower!!!! Be careful...I would not want this to

happen to anyone else. I am still wearing a brace and waiting 5 days

before I go visit the Orthopaedic Doctor to see if I will be needing

surgery. Again, please keep me in your prayers, so that no surgery

will be needed...there is still hope. ita from El Paso, TX I

will keep you posted....

ita,

So sorry to hear about your ankle, but glad to hear your alright. Thanks for

the cautionary words too. I never would have thought there would be anything

wrong, who knew...lol You take good care of yourself and good look with the

Orthopedic. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
