I survived...praise god! A word of caution, I recently came home on the 30th of June and was doing wonderful! Doing everything my doctor told me to do...then on the following evening June 29th, I felt strong enough to take a shower on my own, slowly but surely, taking my pain med as instructed....every six hours...and after I got out of the bathroom and into my bedroom...I suddenly felt dizzy and decided to sit at the foot of my bed for a minute....luckily my 13 yr old son was in the room...and apparently I had fainted, hit my head strongly against a wooden TV Stand, and ended on the floor with my body looking like I had had an epileptic seizure. My son had to call 911...long story short...I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and to boot broke my ankle...I guess it could of been worse if I had still been standing. Anyway, WORD OF CAUTION...I was told my pain med with the shower was not a good combination....told after the fact. I was not aware....best to wait 4 hrs. after taking pain med before taking a shower!!!! Be careful...I would not want this to happen to anyone else. I am still wearing a brace and waiting 5 days before I go visit the Orthopaedic Doctor to see if I will be needing surgery. Again, please keep me in your prayers, so that no surgery will be needed...there is still hope. ita from El Paso, TX I will keep you posted.... Guest guest
I'm having surgery also on Tuesday. Maybe I'll meet you in some not so lucid dreamstate out there. Just look for the little fat guy with the tattooes. lol -- In Gastric_Bypass_Family , " jquin3000 " <jquin3000@y...> wrote: > > > > > > Hello Everyone, > > > > > > I just want to thank all for your prayers and support to my > > > email...telling you about my surgery on June 28th!
