So does anyone know if we can bring a support person/spouse to the orientation? I'd like to take my husband with me. I was going to call and ask but figured I would probably be able to get the answer here.ConnieSacramento

ConnieYes you can, and the surgeons are happy to see people do so. Take care. DonnaConnie Brenner wrote: So does anyone know if we can bring a support person/spouse to the orientation? Thanks everyone who responded. My husband is thinking about getting the

surgery down the road and I think this might also be good for him to

know what its all about. He also wants to be able to cook healthier

meals and this may give him some ideas. Plus not knowing anyone its

going to be a little lonely being in an area I don't know. Thankfully

my mother in law has agreed to watch our son overnight so this gives him

the opportunity to go with me!

Lots of folks take a support person with them to all their classes.

My DH went to orientation with me, but couldn't go to the next

class - but I hope to get him to come along with me to Lifestyles 4

next month.

It's good for several reasons - it helps if you have someone else

listening, since everything can be kind of overwhelming, and it also

helps to know that they're hearing all the things you have to go

through as well. It kind of makes it " real " for them.

Yes, you can. I took my husband and in fact they

encourage you to bring someone. At least Richmond KP

did.

Best wishes to you.
