I have done a construction cake, with brown frosting, crushed oreos

for dirt and pressed into the sides of the cake. then take

some " frosting balls " and plop in piles for the rocks and add the hot

wheels construction vehicles. I spelled his name in white frosting

with the last letter trailing into a cement mixer - like the cement

was pouring out and spelled his name. The construction vehicles come

in a set of 5, so that was convenient.

We also did a Godzilla cake with a small one for Baby Godzilla. Our

local library rented cake pans and I used one for a t-rex and then

decorated a smaller size cake for the Baby.

They have some great ideas for decorating birthday cakes in the magazine

Family Fun but I be they have a website that shows you them too. Just look

up www. familyfun.com. I recently made a scuba diver cake for my son and I

just used the stuff that I had on hand. There is also a site called

www.birthdayexpress.com and they sell all sorts of party stuff but they have

an area listed for cakes and they have some really neat ideas as well. If

you need help figuring out what to substitute just privately e-mail me and

I'll help you. Birthday cakes are one of my favorite things to do.
