Guest guest
Beth, I buy the soy free ones at Passover time in the regular supermarkets. I stock up for the year. There are a few companies that put them out only at that time. Phyllis
Guest guest
Thanks. BTW, what is not Kosher about soy, anyway? Just curious. Do you know? (Marty?) Guest guest
I do keep kosher, but I'm not a rabbi. All vegetarian products are kosher and parve (neither meat nor dairy). Exceptions apply during Passover, when Ashkenazi Jews (Jews of the Eastern European tradition) avoid legumes ( " kitniyot " ) as well, and that would include soy. If you're interested in the status of legumes for Passover, a pretty good explanation is here: http://www.star-k.com/articles/pesa98-kitniyos.html Leif Re: Re: are these choc chips ok? > Funny that I'm giving information about kosher-ness.
