I heartily agree with you on the " stoma issue " and I'm sure there are many

others who also do.

The more info that gets out, the more successful the surgery will become.

Hi Robin,

Welcome to the OSSG Graduate Board. I have been on here for a while

but rarely post. I have gotten a lot of good information here. You

know me from Spotlight Health. I will be 2 years out 10/25/01 and am

5 pounds below my goal. Since April I have been able to lose an

additional 5 pounds, going from 140 to 135 pounds and 105 pounds

lost.

I have been reading about stretched stomas and wonder how many people

this happens to and at what point postop? What percentage of gastric

bypass patients have this occur? I know of someone whose surgery was

around the same date as mine who has been gaining weight and I think

she mentioned that her stoma stretched.

It is an interesting topic!
