Carol, I also said that I had a silastic ring. So the only reason my

stoma would get bigger after the swelling went down would be a mechanical

problem. Each of our surgeries are different so what applies to me

obviously doesnot apply to you.

Well, if the stoma will never get bigger, then either my specialist is a

liar, or my surgeon made it 3 times bigger than it should have been.

According to Dr. Oh, it's a combination of not small enuf to begin with,

plus the natural tendency of the stoma to relax over time.
