The day I got my splintoff Itried and was too numb that was 8 weeks

post op.

Well, I was " eating " them maybe in my second or third week - my

surgeon had cleared me to do soft no-chew, so we went to a British

style pub for lunch. I thoroughly soaked fish & chips in vinegar and

mashed the fries up with a fork. No chewing, but it was wonderful

just to mush them up against the roof of my mouth for taste.

Cheryl (checsmia) was the one here who told me that fish would

probably be the easiest thing to start back on, so that's why I

ordered fish & chips. You can peel back the batter and mush bits of

fish on your fork. Only problem I had is more food ended up between

my cheeks and teeth than down my throat : <
