Guest guest
Well, I did it. I just called Star Cranial and had them change ’s next appointment and head scan from April 13th to May 11th. The secretary (Kim) went ahead and changed the appointment, but said that she’d check with the ortho () to make sure that it was okay. If not, she’s going to call me back. That will be 8 weeks in between appointments, which I know is a lot, but ’s head growth has really slowed down. If we get a growth spurt and red spots, I’ll call and get her in sooner. She hasn't needed any adjustments for the last two appointments. The STARband has a huge gap in the back for growth there and the red spots are still fading within the hour. It will also mean that she’ll have had a total of 25 weeks in her STARband and just be shy of the 6-month mark (5 days). It really only means 5.5 more weeks for us, which is really nothing. Then, when she graduates, I can feel that we got the most that we could from the helmet and I won’t regret taking her out without knowing for sure if we could have gotten more correction. I know that others on this board have had slow and steady change for our older babies and that’s what I’m hoping for with . She’ll be approaching 21 months when she graduates. There’s still a lot of room in the back of her band so she’d have to grow quite a bit for it to need any shaving off. It’s now fitted in all of the other areas. I can tell by looking at the dark spots on the inside of her helmet. Getting her brachy down below 92 is now my goal. Cross your fingers for me for lots of growth. , mom to , 19 months 19.5 weeks in STARband plus CST land
