Guest guest
Alyssa,Would it be possible to blend it with applesauce with cinnamon added? I thought most fish oils were processed in such a way to preserve the good stuff while reducing/eliminating the taste/smell.Amelia.To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Tue, February 2, 2010 8:39:49 PMSubject: Fermented Cod LIver oil/Butter oil Does anyone take FCLO / Butter oil? I think I might start taking it, but I'm not sure what to get. I could get the plain FCLO, or the FCLO blended with butter oil. And the blend comes in unflavored or cinnamon, but the cinnamon has stevia added. If it would make it easier to take, I think the stevia might be a sacrifice I'm willing to make, but I'm just not sure how gross the unflavored would be. Let me know if you have any experience with this!! Alyssa =)
Guest guest
Alyssa, our 4yo son takes 5mL of FCLO via oral syringe with no problems. Twice per day. He follows it up with a quick sip of water or fresh juice because it tastes and smells very strongly of fish (surprise, surprise !). I am certain that you can do exactly the same The more diagreeable taste for him is the Butter Oil. This is a very rich and creamy butter taste, and he does not like it. We have attempted to mix it with freshly stewed apples, but with mixed success. On the quesiotn of flavour, I would go unflavored since the flavour does not add nutritional value and may reduce the effectivenes of the FCLO, aasuming that is the item around which you have taste concerns. Guest guest
Alyssa,Too funny! I suggested the applesauce because I though maybe you couldn't have the yogurt! ; ) The yogurt and jam sounds good, or just with the jam. I have a hard time eating just jam though--too sweet!AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Tue, February 2, 2010 11:06:37 PMSubject: Re: Fermented Cod LIver oil/Butter oil I can't have applesauce =( I could try mixing it w/ some yogurt & jam though. And the processing to eliminate the taste/smell is why I want to take the fermented CLO, instead of just fish oil. It's much less processed, more natural, and better for you =) Alyssa =) > > Alyssa, > > Would it be possible to blend it with applesauce with cinnamon added?
