Guest guest
Raw garlic is best if you can tolerate it. If you can, it helps to chew it with a mouth full of tomato juice or eat it with something starchy like beans in order to cut the heat. It's very hot to eat raw so be careful. But raw is best because heat destroys the allicin for the most part. But if you can't eat it raw, then roasted is better than nothing. When roasting, it helps to put just a bit of extra virgin olive oil in the dish. Claire Garlic and Thanks! First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to my question about OoO! Next, a lot of you suggested eat a lot of garlic. Is this still effective if I eat it cooked, as opposed to raw? I think I'm going to roast a whole head of garlic tonight, and I was hoping it would be good for me as well as delicious! I've actually never roasted garlic before, but considering how much I love getting hunks of it in my soup, it seems like it's high time I try roasting some!! Guest guest
btw: Elephant garlic is milder than the smaller bulbs of standard garlic. The heat is not as hot and it's a noticeable difference if you eat it raw. Claire Garlic and Thanks! First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to my question about OoO!
