,

The effects on the blood sugar and blood pressure were immediate. They stopped

all my meds the night before surgery and told me that they would give them back

as needed. I never needed them except for arthritis, and muscle relaxer that I

take for fibromyalgia and the pill I take for irregular heart beat of which I

now only take a half of one. I went to the doctor last week and my blood sugar

was 87 and my bp 108/78.

welcome to the group, nancy. yep, i'm approaching my 2nd anniversary,

though i don't consider myself a veteran of any sort;-) i'm satisfied

w/ the moment in time i had wls, i remember being 7 or 8 months

post-op & listening to a surgeon lecture regarding brand new wls

technologies. he was raving about some new staples & staple guns that

had just come out in the weeks prior to his presentation. so

apparently the wls is evolving quite a bit.

i've met longer term posties @ in-person support meetings, one keeps

in line by weighing herself each & every monday.

keep postin'!
