Guest guest
I'm banded shut but it is really tight so I think it is the same as being wired closed. I don't have a splint. I hate the tongue issues with the hardware on the back. I go in for my first follow-up on Monday the 4th I will possibly be un-banded right then. I'm really lucky to only have lower. You just posted about migraine headaches. It is possible that you need more water. I was in the deserts of Israel and Jordan once. I had terrible migraines but once I got enough water in me they went away. Just a thought. Dave Lara > > Dave, > > Hee hee you got me rolling. I am passible for anorexic yet I'm > starving! Guest guest
Aaahhh Its only day 4 right? I'm one of the small ones that lost 20lbs, but it came off right up until I was unbanded at 6 weeks. However, and this is a big however, as soon as I started eating again, the weight came right back within a few weeks. One thing, though, I was so worried about my teeth and decay that I tried to steer clear of things like milkshakes, smoothies, etc. you know sweet stuff and that didn't help much. I drank alot of pureed Gerber baby food watered down. I hope it works out for you. Be careful though, you need your strength to recover. Get plenty of calories. Guest guest
Hi ; I took a look at your pics, you are looking great. Amazing that you are only 4 days post op! I hope that I will be in as good a shape as you seem to be after my surgery. I am curious, how soon after the surgery were you able to drink something? Mark > Hi all. I am on day 4 of my recovery. Guest guest
Hi , It sounds like what you are taking in, in terms of liquids, is just fine. Add more as you feel like it. The most important thing is to keep drinking and taking in liquids. A thin soup (whiz up vegetable soup in the blender, for example) would be good too. Hope your recovery goes smoothly! Hang in there. > Hi all. I am on day 4 of my recovery. Things are going pretty well > so far. It seems like night time is the worst, but overall, things > have not been too bad. Guest guest
I just had a lower advancement of about 4mm, and they also shifted my jaw to the left about 2mm. I can't imagine having to have both the upper and lower done. > > you look like you are doing great > Be patient recovery takes time .
