Guest guest
food combining seemed to work the best for me. never eat fruit with anything and at least 1 hour before a meal. eat just meat and low carb veggies (not fruits like tomato) with fat. eat nuts by themselves and at least 2-3 hours before a meal. eat higher carb veggies with lower carb veggies and fat. everyone is different, but eating this way ensures your digestion is working efficiently. > > Sorry for TMI, but I have to come out with it in order to get some help. How do you get rid of your gas? Mine is a real nuisance at time. The gas is the main reason for why I started scd. Has anyone heard of someone being helped to get rid of uncontrollable gas with scd? > > So far, I've been able to get rid of the rectal bleeding and the facial acne while on clo and scd, but the gas is hanging on. Do you think the FCLO with butter would help with this? Any advice or thoughts? Do you know when I could expect to get rid of the excess gas? Could it be yeast? > > Sorry again and thanks. >
Guest guest
certainly could be yeast - definately a sign that somethings not digesting right - i'd go intro and put stuff back slowly while keeping a diary - also my doc recommends mint tea to " eat up " the gas - has helped - hang in eileen 2 years scd > > Sorry for TMI, but I have to come out with it in order to get some help. Guest guest
For me, it's food related in that if I eat certain foods, they cause that problem. Recently I was surprised to figure out that eggs (at least on their own, I haven't tried them in a recipe yet) were a BIG trigger for me. I think cheese was as well but I'm not well enough to add it back into my diet yet. It's also the reason I soak and dehydrate nuts (Elaine was worried about soaking because of mold) because it helps significantly with my digestion. Do you keep a food diary? It might help to see if any foods are triggers for you. I'm currently going back up through foods one at a time in order to see what is and is not okay with my body. Guest guest
Thanks. I do need to start keeping a diary. I'm scatter-brained but am a little bit closer to getting organized and keeping a diary than before. I took EPO last night, and interestingly, that helped calm the gas down temporarily. I don't know what that means. To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Mon, February 15, 2010 3:20:32 PMSubject: Re: TMI alert, gas For me, it's food related in that if I eat certain foods, they cause that problem.
