Guest guest
I have an open bite and went to consult with an OS on Wednesday. He was great and did not pressure me into the surgery. He said that I needed to think long and hard about this surgery. He said that with such a long-term commitment, I needed to be sure. My main question is this---- Those of you who had an open bite, did the surgery remedy your pain and discomfort(headaches, pressure in the jaws, etc.) or did the surgery only correct the functional problems of an open bite (eating, speech, etc.) I have lived with an open bite for ten years. The pressure in my jaws is increasing. If the surgery will correct everything, then I will go for it. If the surgery does not alleviate the pain, then I don't care to go through with it. Those of you who have been in this situation, please let me know. Thanks, Larra
