Guest guest
Hi ! It's nice to see a veteran from the original days of this group. Unfortunately those posts are long gone (some are preserved on the geocities site), but you were kind enough to give me permission to post your link on the geocities site. I always thought your photo series was great, showing how much change can take place over a year. Hope you are doing well! (upper/lower genio Aug 2002) > > Hey there, > > I'm an old member from 1999. Guest guest
Hey ! Nice to hear from you. Glad you were able to preserve some of the posts from the original club because I recall that there were some great questions and answers that were posted, and as I look through recent posts, we all tend to have similar questions. Best to all! Guest guest
Hi , That's what I thought too, there were great Q & As. I originally just listed them for myself in preparation for my surgery, but thought that others could benefit from them too, so I set up the geocities site. Who knew yahoo would zap them all when we went from clubs to groups? It's probably because this site was so large - the oss2 site I set up still has all its posts intact. I remember (when the old posts were still here), how active you had been in the early days. One only has to look at the links section to see how many you contributed! To me, you're one of the founding members, and I'm really grateful for the work you put into this support group. Stacey (bosegert) and neta-lee pop in from time to time, you probably remember them (3-timers). Even bedbug (who is probably on her 6th anniversary this year) pops in to say hi! Take care, > > Hey ! Guest guest
: Yes, it was fun being so active in the club. I can't believe that I am 5 years post-op as of February 4th!!And you're right there are a lot of great links from the " old club days " that to my surprise are still active, so I hope current members use them. For awhile there I became the resident researcher when someone had a question or needed info. I noticed a couple of excellent links posted by the true Founder (SouthernBelleCutie) that list a summary of insurance laws by state. I know a lot of members have problems getting their jaw surgeries covered by their companies and many may not know that several states have laws that obligate insurance companies to cover orthognathic surgery when determined by the doctor to be medically necessary. This group (formely club) was a lifesaver for me! I'm very glad you bridged the gap by creating the Geocities site. Best! Kindly, > > > > Hey ! Nice to hear from you.
