Guest guest
My younger son has long time constipation problems. Magnesium helps constipation and helps in other ways too. I used to use Twinlabs mag but just started with Natural Calm, both from the HFS. .
Guest guest
* Why not just a jar of Gerber prunes. You could even mix with applesauce to lighten the flavor. Always worked with my kids, and its not any med. to cause a reaction. Its pure and natural prunes!!!! in New York * On Thu, 2 Aug 2001 12:54:25 EDT sharashing@... writes: > my son is costipated...we have been on the diet 2 wks..it's been 3 > days since > last b.m. what cand i give him that's safe thanks sharon c. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
, Ellen is right on this one. I too tend to go through periods of constipation. But once I up my water (not soda) intake it seems to do the trick. For fast relief, and I'm not suggesting this to anyone, for me all I need to do is eat about two table spoons of ice cream and in about an hour I have results. This is probably part of dumping, but I do not get symptoms like those of some I have read and heard about, thankfully. Good luck in getting the plumbing ironed out. -Ray > , > > I am 6 weeks out and have had some problems with constipation. The > cure.....64 ozs of water everyday! Guest guest
, FYI, I learned a few weeks ago from the more experienced people on this site that you shouldn't take your benefiber with your protein. The benefiber absorbs the protein.... D
Guest guest
--i can totally relate to your constipation problem..i have been fighting this for a year now...i have tried the lactulose syrup (worked for about a month then nothing)stool softeners, fiber products, milk of mag.,mineral oil and nothing works...i did some research on the internet and am presently trying this.. aloe vera juice, flax seeds ground over steel cut oats, prunes, smooth move tea and v8 juice...i have to use a suppository 1 every hour for 2 hours then give myself an enema..then the next day do the same..if your lower bowels arent cleaned out first the oral products cannot move the soften stool through...so i end up doing suppositories everyday and 2 enemas a week..i have bleeding hemarroids and am constantly dealing with this issue..if i dont stay on top of it...its like trying to pass a baseball through a garden hose...i would appreciate any ideas too!!!i walk everyday at work (12 hour shifts) and drink 1 1/2 liters of water a day...also look up colonic massage on the internet..this has helped me break up the stool and is easy to do.i am thinking about getting a colonic done..i dont know much about it though but i dream of having a flushed out colon...i know i would feel better and probably lose 10 lbs, too! let me know what works for you. pam - In Gastric_Bypass_Family , " cathysthecook " <cathysthecook@y...> wrote: > I know I've asked this before, (maybe some new wonder cure/drug has > been discovered since the last time I asked) but I am having a > terrible time with severe constipation.
