Guest guest
Anyone know about the legality of homemade date syrup?AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Fri, March 5, 2010 2:46:38 PMSubject: Re: Date sugar Hi Raj, Medjool dates, the dark brown ones that are soft, are fresh as well (as opposed to dried) and legal. In fact Elaine recommended these only. I am not sure about the yellow orange ones. As far as I know Medjool dates are the best, and the only ones that we are supposed to eat. I eat them often too. Sorry, but I haven't tried date sugar yet. - > > Hi, > > I noticed that date sugar is listed as illegal on http://www.breaking theviciouscycle. info/legal/ legal_illegal_ d-n.htm > > But there really isn't any reason provided. It's just fine as lone as it contains no illegals. Dates (pitted) cooked in a little water, and pureed with a hand blender works fine. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
